Online HF, MF, 27 MHz & VHF Radio Course (LROCP)

This course is the recommended pathway to the VHF, MF, and HF licence (LROCP). It also includes VHF training and licence. AMSA requires the LROCP for Master 5 tickets upwards, including using the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Commercially in Australia. Operators with this qualification are mandated for most Category 1 and 2 races in Australia.
This online course also prepares you to sit and LROCP exam to obtain a radio licence. There are two components to an exam - a multiple choice question assessment and practical demonstration. Remote assessments can be arranged on completion of the course for an additional fee.

Course support: This is for 12 months from enrollment. An The online booking calendar for an LROCP assessment can be accessed at anytime from login, including after the 12 months has expired.
Qualification: LROCP (Once they complete and pass the remote assessment). This is the qualification that is needed to apply for an MMSI number.
Device requirements: This course has been developed to work on a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The best browser to use is Google Chrome, but all other browsers will work.
