About the Author
Elspeth Wills is an author and researcher and was brought up near John Brown's shipyard on the Clyde, birthplace of many a Cunard liner. The Fleet 1840-2004 is her third in the series of Cunard books, the others being Queen Mary 2 - Book of Comparisons and Stars Aboard. Her research on Cunard and transatlantic liners is exhaustive having written the copy for both The Maritime Quest, the largest floating exhibition, on board QM2 and more recently The Only Way to Cross, this summers headlining exhibition at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. She is also the proud author of several books on Scottish history including Scottish Firsts: Innovation and Achievement, Walks in Edinburgh's Old Town and The New History of Edinburgh. Elspeth lives in Scotland.
