RYA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Theory Online Course

This is an advanced course in navigation and meteorology.

The Course has been developed by Above & Beyond Boating to teach the skills within the RYA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Shorebased Syllabus. There are 12 units, and each unit has structured training with questions at the end of each lesson.

On completion of the online course there is an IRPCS Assessment, Passage Making and a Chartwork Assessment that are completed online.

    • Qualification: RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Shorebased Course Certificate
    • Course Delivery: Self-paced e-learning, unlimited course access, support for 12 months from enrollment with an option to extend the support with no charge for up to 6 months,
    • Device requirements: This course has been developed to work on a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The best browser to use is Google Chrome, but all other browsers will work.
    • Supporting materials: Sent via express post for students in Australia and International registered airmail for overseas delivery. Pack  contains the RYA Yachtmaster shorebased course notes, 2 training charts, a training almanac, 2B pencil and eraser. The supporting materials are not required to get started. Students can start immediately when they receive their online course login.
