Shipping makes international trade possible, while sustaining the world economy. A huge diversity of cargoes, such as liquids, bulk commodities, frozen and chilled food, finished products and vehicles, all need to be delivered in a safe and timely manner. Similarly, passengers who are increasing in numbers on ferries and cruise vessels expect their ships to operated safely and efficiently.
