The British National Maritime Museum is the largest of its kind in the world.

To mark the 70th anniversary of its opening, the Museum has brought together this collection of new short stories inspired by a great literary muse.

From the remote & wild coastal landscapes of Orkney & the west of Ireland to mysteries set in the Mediterranean, & from tales inspired by John Franklin’s ill-fated expedition to find the North-West Passage to a 1970’s cruise ship full of teenagers, the stories take us on a voyage – challenging our perception of the sea along the way.
