Recom. Equipment Mooring Ships

Incompatibility between a terminal’s mooring equipment and shipboard fittings can prejudice both the security of the mooring system and the safety of personnel. It may also service to prolong the time taken for mooring operations. Such difficulties can be overcome by harmonising the equipment and fittings to ensure correct matching between the terminal and the ship. the general acceptance of the recommendations contained in this publication will achieve the desired harmonisation and promote increased safety and efficiency of operations at SPMs.
