This book chronicles the first 50 years of North Sails, the largest and most successful sailmaker in the world. North Sails have been on every America’s Cup defender and challenger since 1980. Similarly North Sails have been on every Volvo Ocean Race winner since 1990. Also North Sails win more Olympic Medals and one-design championships than sails made by any other manufacturer.
This is the second edition and will introduce you to the the Tigers and technologies, from 3DL to brand-new 3Di. It will also explain the principles of sailmaking, and thus sailing in detail. Those who take the time to read it will be better sailors.
